I was absent from my house, so I kept track of the game on the fly, and for six innings, all I saw were eggs. Both pitchers were throwing gems of a game but Central Illinois hero Jim Thome put a pretty big crack in Nick Blackburn's gem, a solo shot (34) to put the Sox up 1-0, and that was all they needed. Maybe next year, Twins.
